Platform
A complete local-first automation stack.
Four layers — node mesh, gateway, control, and optional cloud — engineered so the important parts never leave your network.
Nodes → Gateway → Mobile App → Cloud Backup
Architecture
Four layers, one guarantee
The cloud is optional at every layer that matters.
Node Mesh — ESP-NOW
Field devices talk to the gateway over a connectionless ESP-NOW link. No router, no IP, no association delay — single-digit-millisecond latency that survives a WAN outage.
Gateway — ESP32-S3
A dual-core ESP32-S3 (16MB flash, 8MB PSRAM) runs the orchestration engine, the live node registry, and a persisted config hierarchy with boot/reset-reason history.
Control — NimBLE GATT
Your phone pairs directly to the gateway over BLE for provisioning and live control. Setup is a private local handshake — no account, no cloud in the path.
Backup — Optional Cloud
The cloud is a backup and OTA channel you opt into, never a runtime dependency. Signed firmware, staged rollout, and automatic rollback are on the roadmap.
Capabilities
What the platform does today
Local rule engine
Rules evaluate on-device against a local event bus. No cloud round-trip to fire an automation.
Auto-discovery
A broadcast beacon lets new nodes announce themselves for one-tap admission.
Manual admission
New nodes appear in an Add / Ignore dialog on the gateway's screen. Nothing joins silently.
Field black box
Persisted boot count and reset-reason history turn 'it rebooted' into an actionable log.
Offline-first
Every core function runs with the WAN unplugged. The cloud is optional by design.
OTA (soon)
Signed firmware channels with staged rollout and rollback keep a fleet current safely.
